What is On Demand?
On Demand allows you to watch TV on your schedule - movies, shows and videos at your fingertips anytime you want it. With On Demand service, you can use your TVC remote control to select from hundreds of hit movies and other programming. You can start your program whenever you like, even pause, rewind, fast-forward and view repeatedly.
What is the difference between On Demand and Pay-Per-View?
On Demand offers you more flexibility than traditional Pay-Per-View. With Pay-Per-View you select among features with preset start times, making viewing happen on a preset schedule. On Demand provides virtually the same experience as renting a videotape or DVD, without the hassle of going to the video store, and with no worries over late return fees.
Do I need special equipment to access On Demand from TVC?
On Demand is accessed conveniently through your existing TVC Digital Cable set top box. (A box is required)
Is there a monthly fee for On Demand?
There is no monthly fee for On Demand. The digital set top box interacts/communicates with the servers located at TVC’s cable head end to stream and control movies. Certain subscription services and movies On Demand are available at additional cost.
How much does TVC On Demand cost?
Certain portions of the On Demand service are available at no additional cost, while movies generally cost $3.99, with only a few being slightly higher. Special events, such as concerts or sporting events, will be available at higher price points.
How will I be billed for On Demand movies?
Your On Demand movie purchases will be conveniently billed with your monthly TVC cable bill.
Is On Demand available with my subscribed to Premium packages?
Currently we provide Cine max, HBO, Star and Encore On Demand. We do not carry Show time On Demand. TVC Digital Cable customers who also subscribe to HBO, Star, Encore and/or Cine max can access these in On Demand at no additional charge.
What if my TVC remote control does not have a white On Demand button, how do I access this?
Simply go to channel 1, this will start the On Demand programming.
What if I get a error code while accessing On Demand?
First try resetting your cable box. You do this by unplugging the power cord from the back of the box, give it 5 seconds and then plug it back in. Turn on the cable box again, it will take a few seconds to complete the reset. If you continue to get an error when accessing On Demand please note the exact error code and call our help desk for technical support at 860-446-4009.
